The Greenhouse will be open at the usual time, 9:00am, but the refreshments will be served starting at 2pm the day of the Open House.
The Wine-tasting will be Saturday December 12th from 2pm to 7pm. Several different varieties of red, white and rose” wines will be available for your selection.
Browse hundreds of beautiful blooming orchids, while enjoying a favorite glass of vintage wine. Then when you’ve found just the perfect one, we will make your gift giving even more delightful, with a 10% discount on your purchase. If you are unsure of just what color or type of orchids your friend or family member would enjoy, gift certificates are always available.

This year, in addition to various orchid workshops, our open house will be featuring one of the best orchid specialists in the United States, H.P. Norton of Orchidview!
For those of you not familiar with H.P., he is one of the best known and respected growers of phalaenopsis orchids in the world. His crosses have won dozens of American Orchid Society awards. He is sometimes referred to as the father of yellow Phalaenopsis breeding. H.P. is also doing some great crosses with the very new Phragmipedium kovachii species. To say the least, he is one of the BEST, and more than willing to share his vast knowledge with you. He will be bringing flasks, compots, and seedlings of his breeding to sell.
As usual, we will be conducting workshops on potting, dividing, general care and how to determine if your plant has any problems. Also, for anyone who has an interest, there will be an opportunity to learn about lab techniques. So bring along your questions and if you have a plant you are concerned about, bring it as well.
There is no charge for the Open House, and lunch will be provided by Marvins Restaurant of Greencastle, Indiana.

We know how tough it is for
everyone right now. Our customers are the reason we are in
business. So, this year we wanted to thank every one of our
loyal customers by holding a customer appreciation day. Saturday June 13th,
is set aside to show how very much we appreciate all of our Hilltop
customers. To make it an interesting and valuable day, we
will hold free potting demonstrations and an open question &
answer session on topics ranging from
potting, to plant division, and care and feeding of
several different types of orchids. We will also discuss
typical problems encountered with growing orchids, and how to
solve them. If you have a plant with a problem, bring it
along! We will help you diagnose it and determine the right
care to bring it back to health.
Mark your calendars, and plan
to attend. The first demonstration will begin at
11:00am. The others will be held at approximately 1:30pm and
3:00pm.
Several specials will be
offered on various groups of orchids. It will be
great chance to add to your collection. Come and enjoy the day. Learn a
