Growing Our Passion

As a special treat this year, Oliver Winery will be hosting a wine-tasting for all of our Open House guests. Pam Feeney, from Oliver Winery will be sharing some of their newest releases on Wednesday, December 13th.
Browse through our greenhouses with thousands of orchids in magnificent bloom, while enjoying your favorite glass of vintage wine. When you’ve found the perfect orchid, we will make your gift giving even more delightful, with a 10% discount on your purchase. Hilltop Orchids is happy to invite you to its 12th Annual Open House on the hill, to be held on Saturday August 11th , from 11:00am to
whenever you tire of looking at and talking about orchids.
We realized that in all the years we have been hosting this Open House, there has always been a guest speaker. This year, we decided to stay close to home and Dick will be our featured speaker. His discussions will be about orchid culture. He will cover culture for the most commonly grown orchids in the home such as; Phals, Cats, Paphs, Phrags, Onc., Dens, etc. He will also be conducting workshops on potting, dividing, and how to determine if your plant needs different care. As an added bonus, there
will be tours and opportunities to learn about steril labratory orchid seeding techniques for anyone who has an rest.
There is no charge for the Open House, and lunch will be provided by Marvin's Restaurant of Greencastle, Indiana.
Hilltop orchids would like to thank the kind people of Henderson
Kentucky for inviting us back for their annual "Antiques and Accents"
show and sale. We are proud be a part of this annual fund
raiser for the Henderson Regional Hospital Foundation with all proceeds
this year going to benefiting the hospital's Surgical Center Capital
Campaign. We would also like to thank the kind staff of The
Gleaner, Henderson County's local newpaper. They have
published an article, "Grower
has mission to dispel myth of lush species",
written by Judy Jenkins about Hilltop Orchids and our very own Dick
Wells.
